Maximizing monthly giving.

The Challenge:

Improve revenue predictability and reduce the cost of fundraising.


The Strategy:

To grow revenue for the Daughters of the American Revolution, Barton Cotton modeled the giving history of its sustainers and identified key contributing factors for becoming a monthly donor. Knowing that the daughters are motivated by recognition, the next step was to spotlight the status of members through the development of a Sustaining Supporters giving level. Barton Cotton also devised an algorithm to calculate a suggested monthly “ask amount” to facilitate the decision to become a Sustaining Supporter.
